Estate Strategy & Asset Managment

Our experience of developing an estate strategy for the future use of an estate derives from use of the Department of Health exemplar forms used for NHS Trusts, the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) for universities, the Housing Corporation and companies with a significantly sized property portfolio.

The concept of what to do with an estate might not be fully realised by some of our clients and so combined with our business strategy knowledge and skills interpreting other reports, for example those provided by healthcare planners or heads of sections in a company, we are able to consider the whole purpose of the occupiers and organisation in addition to the physical estate.

We are also experienced in the collection of data required to assess the building fabric, mechanical and electrical condition.

Additional aspects may be considered, such as space utilisation and quality, which is useful data for estates reporting by NHS Trusts to the Department of Health of up to six facets of their estate and universities reporting to HEFCE.

Facilities management

We provide advice on the facets to be assessed and managed, including those tangible assets and aspects of health and safety.
Considering our experience of surveys and claims we are able to clarify the probable risk areas across a portfolio of property, campus type development and individual buildings.
